Safety and Privacy For Our Members

Online Meeting Guidelines

Please consider any activity, app, tool, or medication suggested during a meeting carefully and with the context of sharing and relating. We want to emphasize that none of us are professionals or experts in ADHD, and it is important for each person to seek expert advice before engaging in any treatment options. Any suggestions provided are purely recommendations and not prescriptions.

When sharing, please provide information from your own experience instead of advice. By participating in a meeting, you acknowledge that any tools or medication that you may adopt are entirely your decision, and you should seek professional clinical advice.

If you choose to share in the group, please begin by indicating if you have been diagnosed with ADHD. If you choose not to share, that is perfectly acceptable.

In order to maintain a positive and respectful environment for all participants, we kindly request that you adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. Be kind and courteous: Please treat all participants with kindness and respect, just as you would in an in-person meeting. Avoid interrupting others or making derogatory comments.

  2. Use appropriate language: please refrain from offensive or any language considered discriminatory, racist, or sexist.

  3. Please limit background noise, stay on mute when not speaking, go off camera or take a break as needed. Get out your fidget spinners, spin around in your chair, get up and walk around — don’t forget you are on Zoom!

  4. If you arrive late or have to leave early — we understand; however, to keep the flow of the meeting consistent, please try and stay for the duration.

  5. Respect privacy: please do not share confidential or personal information not intended to be shared with the group. Similarly, please respect the privacy of others and avoid sharing their personal information without their consent.

  6. Follow the host's instructions: please follow the guidelines of the host and facilitator, as they are responsible for managing the meeting and ensuring it runs smoothly.

Please help us ensure our meetings are productive, enjoyable, and respectful for all participants. Thank you for your cooperation, and have a great meeting!
